We’re so excited to finally share our short dance film, CHOKED 2.0 — a labour of love that began for Noel and I during lockdown, inspired by our love for the ocean and growing concern for its future.

This latest version has been brought to life thanks to an incredible community of like-minded individuals who, over the past year, have generously donated their time, expertise, and talent — united by a shared mission: to protect our oceans.

We’re releasing it today to coincide with World Ocean Day, with the hope that it inspires change — to spark conversation about how we produce and consume plastic, and to highlight the devastating impact industrial overfishing is having on our oceans.

The new film is led by the exceptional Edward Watson, former principal of the Royal Ballet, alongside a cast of talented, young dancers, who all worked tirelessly over the rehearsal and filming process to help bring our vision to life.

We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to the @accharitablesettlement without whom none of this could have been possible. Thank you!

If you enjoy the film, please take a few moments to share. It would mean the world to us… and the fish. 🐠

Echoes, memories, words...📚

Inspired by the genre-defying works and writings of Virginia Woolf, today we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Resident Choreographer Wayne McGregor’s experimental ballet triptych 'Woolf Works'.

Woolf Works evokes Woolf’s stream of consciousness writing style, with a collage of themes from Mrs Dalloway, Orlando, The Waves and her other writings.

Created for The Royal Ballet in 2015 and winner of an Olivier and a Critics’ Circle National Dance Award, Woolf Works returns to our Main Stage on 17 January 2026.
